

Our DBT Skills group runs Mondays from 12:00 - 13:30. It is co-lead by Dr Talia Kaplan and Dr Michal Barnea. Dr Barnea is intensively trained psychologist who brings many years of experience to co-leading the group.
DBT group therapy is a skills-based group that teaches practical tools for managing emotions, coping with stress, improving relationships, and staying present in the moment. The group setting provides a supportive and encouraging environment where participants can learn and grow alongside others facing similar challenges.
Groups typically focus on four core areas: mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. Clients learn concrete strategies that can help them respond more effectively to difficult emotions and situations.
Many people find DBT group therapy empowering because it combines skill-building with support and connection. The skills learned in group are designed to be practical, realistic, and directly applicable to daily life.
